“Let’s Go!” The words of Brian Pine virtually every day since he was officially licensed as a Realtor in the state of Kansas and joining me at Heck Land Company. His enthusiasm is infectious, and that is just what the doctor ordered for me at this stage of my career. After I left the commercial real estate world in 2012, I had thought I’d be a one-man shop selling farm and ranch properties. But when Brian approached me to see if he might fit into my plans, well, my plans changed in a major way. You see, Brian’s dad and I were partners on the farm back in the 70’s and 80’s, and I’ve known Brian since he was born. I have many great memories of those years (as well as a few fun stories I might be enticed to share). So, when he approached me, it was a no-brainer to say “Yes, let’s do this”.
Of course, we have our differences. He bleeds purple, and I bleed blue. He wakes up at 4:30 a.m. (???) and I wake up at 6:00 a.m. (or 6:30). He’s 50, and I’m … not. But, given that, we are an extremely complementary team. We each have different spheres of influence, and his covers a very broad geography with his experience at Kennedy & Coe consulting. Best of all, Brian has tremendous positive energy that also gives me energy. So, when he says, “Let’s Go!” I get on board really quickly, because I know we are going to have some fun. I’m really eager to share my 30+ years of real estate brokerage experience with him and see where we can take Heck Land together. One thing I know for sure, with Brian at my side it will be fun, it will be exciting, and my new favorite saying is definitely “Let’s Go!”
